About this work
TeddyInWindow House was inspired by visiting an old Cape Dutch house, now serving as a museum. On the outside was an empty bench on the verandah. My mind started wandering about who sat on that bench over hundreds of years ago. What went through the minds of all the people who stood inside & looked at the magnificent gardens on the outside. And then multiple & fun flowers came to my mind.
This digital vector artwork is part of #themindisahouse art series. My hope is that the viewer of this work will be inspired to theorize what goes on in the millions of mind thoughts which happened over centuries in that specific spot & how these thoughts effects our actions which in turn influences out futures. It is quite an acceptable & well-known understanding that our thoughts play a massive roll in how our lives turn out.
Are we caught inside behind closed windows or are we protected against the onslaught of life?
On the other hand, are we venturing outside our safe spaces and enjoying nature & unpleasant weather to enjoy ourselves?
Take the risk, go outside to admire plants & literally smell fresh air & the flowers.
