About this work
GentleProtection House originates from my own personal sensation of feeling unsafe towards an upcoming social event. I admitted to myself that feeling unsafe is not necessarily being unsafe, for it also depends on our state of mind in that particular period of time. Even though my logical mind tried to reassure me that I was overreacting, I could not philosophize my emotions into feeling less vulnerable. I drew courage from the writings of Matthew where he said that on this earth where we are living it is not always safe, therefor we should prepare ourselves to be as shrewd as a snake, yet as harmless as a dove.
Looking back to that time, it made so much sense to prepare my mind and be on guard, but at the same time decided to be courageous enough to enter the situation. I created an environment inside my mind-house where I could relax and stopped focusing on the unease and chose look at a positive outcome.
We cannot control everything around us and sometimes to be secure within ourselves will overcome a good number of social hazards.
