The background to this image is a few handmade dwellings that is located in a dry and empty landscape. This represents circumstances which one can find oneself in, often not by choice or very difficult to get out of. In the midst of hardships one can frequently find turquoise spheres of unexpected surprises when one's thoughts are open to look for it. The foreground of two elderly people laughing with abandonment creates a joyful picture of how their laughter can overcome physcial, financial or emotional difficulties. The old adage that laughter is the best medicine is not always practical in all environments, but often it can lighten the load of earthly pain even if it is temporarily. The more we practice our minds to find the good around us, it will increasingly distract us from unavoidable destitution.
