About this work
HotairBalloon House represents the possibility of a dream coming true.
On the one hand, old painful memories have become a line drawing of a house in the sky.
On the other hand, a dream is calling the possibility to get to a life-goal of flying in a hotair balloon become a reality.
This fake dichotomy in my mind is in reality a process of letting go of past trauma and replace it with hope in an exciting journey. As I am thinking more about this work, anticipation is welling from deep within my subconscious to a level where planning and decision making is very real.
My hope is that this work will inspire the onlooker and owner thereof to raise forgotten dreams to the surface and start planning practical steps for the fulfilment of vague aspirations. May the journey to its completion stir fresh enthusiasm and energy.
